Farnborough October 2024 Quiz Night

The second Farnborough Quiz Night of 2024 is the first since Farnborough & Aldershot Lions Clubs merged in July. With new team members, the evening approached previous record takings making an amazing £869 for the on the Lions Charities in Rushmoor and beyond.

Altogether 21 teams took part answering questions on General Knowledge, Film & TV, Sport, Geography and Music. For much of the evening 10 teams were running neck and neck with the tight lead changing places after each round.

Eventually 'The Vikings' were the runaway leaders taking the lead in the 6th round to win with 81 points. 'Area 51' came in second with 76 points and 'Game for a Laugh' were third with 74 points. For a full list of team scores on the night click on the scoreboard icon to the right.

Thanks to this phenomenal support from the quiz teams in the Rushmoor, Hart and Farnham areas, Farnborough & Aldershot Lions will be able to help more people with events such as free PSA blood tests for Prostate Cancer, providing emergency food parcels for families in hardship and providing financial help to other local charities. Fundraising events like our bi-annual quiz nights bring our community together with the fun and friendship at the quiz and the welfare work we are able to carry out as a direct result.

The next Farnborough Lions Quiz Night is taking place on Saturday 15th March 2025 at St Marks Hall. 8 quiz teams have already booked up to attend in March.  Save the date and book early to avoid disappointment.
